Reinforcing the Economy of Knowledge draws foreign capital, which is used to fund innovative projects that are capable of attracting international talent, and at the same time companies can improve their ability to apply new technologies from elsewhere in the world. Besides this, our intellectual capital is not drained abroad.
These are the reasons why the Madrid Regional Government, via the Madrid Development Institute (IMADE) implemented Madrid Network in may 2007, establishing it as a tool for boosting the economy of knowledge, enhancing innovation and value added products and services, and focusing on one sole objective: to position Madrid among the 10 most innovative regions in the world.
